In this project, I entered the lives of families that made me feel less like an “other” with a large format camera in hand. The time I spent making these pictures was just as important to me as the pictures themselves, it allowed me to feel that being queer and wanting a family was possible. These are the images I wish I had seen growing up, visual examples of the love and happiness exist in my future.
